We provided building performance consultancy for the FOLD Housing Orchard Road project, supporting the design team in developing an energy-efficient and comfortable residential development.

Our scope included the preparation of Preliminary BER assessments, providing early-stage analysis of the proposed building’s energy performance and helping to identify opportunities for improving efficiency.

We also supported the project with PV sizing, assessing the appropriate photovoltaic capacity to contribute to the development’s renewable energy strategy and overall energy performance. In addition, we carried out a CIBSE TM 59 overheating assessment to evaluate the risk of excessive internal temperatures and support the design team in achieving comfortable internal conditions during warmer periods.

By combining energy performance, renewable energy and thermal comfort assessments, our work provided the design team with practical, performance-led information to inform key design decisions. This integrated approach helped support the project’s goals for energy efficiency, renewable energy generation and occupant comfort, while contributing to compliance with relevant building performance requirements.
