Our team provided the Preliminary BER assessment for a new 163-bed hotel development in Bohermore, Galway, supporting the project’s focus on energy efficiency and sustainable design.

As part of the sustainability strategy, the project is also being assessed against BREEAM criteria, including credits associated with Low or Zero Carbon (LZC) energy technologies and NZEB design principles. The client is aiming for BREEAM Outstanding standard, where our early-stage energy assessment helps inform the design team on opportunities to reduce energy demand, improve operational efficiency and increase renewable energy contribution.

This project demonstrates our commitment to delivering practical, low-energy building solutions that support both regulatory compliance and ambitious sustainability targets.

The design has been developed with consideration of Ireland’s Nearly Zero Energy Building (NZEB) requirements, with energy performance, building fabric, efficient building services and renewable energy generation integrated into the overall approach.
